Hi friends,

On Friday we lost our darling, sweet prince Oscar after a very brief illness.

We are still in shock and in deep, what feels like inconsolable, grief at his passing. He came into our lives as a 3-year-old rescue dog in 2012.  Born at the RSCPA, no one ever wanted him until we gave him a home.  This sounds like we did him a favour but compared to the love he gave and the joy he brought us every day of his life, the favour was entirely his.  He was a sweet gentle soul who was loved by all who met him.

There was no way on earth I could have written about food today.  I struggled to even get out of bed.  I’ll try to get things back on track next week. Signature2

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss, Taryn. Oscar looks like he was a friendly, kind soul, and I bet his ears were incredibly fun to pet. We lost our beloved cat Tiberius in March to cancer, and the thing that I’ve tried to remember is that he had a good and happy life with us, where he got to be his very best self. I hope that you can recall the same, as you mourn Oscar’s loss. It sounds like you were a great owner and friend to this pup.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words Miss Amy and sorry for your loss. I’m sure you still miss your beloved Tiberius (fabulous name BTW) every day so you understand what we are going through at the moment. xx
